How to wear statement necklaces part two

Welcome everyone to the second part of how to wear statement necklaces during the fall months!  Make sure to check out part one where I pair outfits with other statement necklaces. I hope these outfits ideas get you excited for cool autumn weather, even though the short burst of coolness in Mississippi was just a teaser…and just as I was about to pull out my sweaters! Figures.

Your new best bud—the neutral statement necklace. Whether your chain is gold, white, black or mauve, it’s the ideal go-to accessory to jazz up any outfit. I paired mine with a colorful sweater to tone things down a bit, but also brightened up an ensemble with fall’s favorite color—olive.

LOOK No. 1: Casual >>

This combo is so comfortable and playful for football season or just going out to dinner with friends and family.

The oversized varsity sweater + leggings + black booties = a stylish day at The Rock. SMTTT! Or if you’re an FSU fan, rock a maroon hat for a fun touch.

The outfit:

  • Sweater | Urban Outfitters
  • Leggings | Target
  • Statement necklace | Target
  • Tan hat | Urban Outfitters
  • Shades | Urban Outfitters

LOOK No. 2: Date night >>

Fall’s favorite color: OLIVE! For this look, I paired an olive tunic with a muted brown leather Moto jacket and finished it off with the same necklace, black skinny jeans and my beloved booties. It’s an ideal outfit for a night on the town with a handsome French man by your side…OK I’m getting carried away.

Anyways,  I dub this the “cool girl” look. “Oh, this old thing? Just something I threw together.” 🙂

The outfit:

  • Leather jacket | Jack brand (from Indigeaux in Pensacola)
  • Olive top | Lush (from Fetiche in Hattiesburg)
  • Statement necklace | Target
  • High-waisted Jeans | Urban Outfitters

And last, but certainly not least—the colorful statement necklace.

PINTEREST LOVERS: these are probably the most popular statement necklaces you see and the ones you always pin—but never dare to wear. Well, surely that’s about to change! Here I’ve paired two playful outfits to make your weekend and Monday morning grind sparkle.

LOOK No. 1: Casual OR date night >>

ROMP around! This look is so adorable for a night out or running errands on a brisk day. If you are skeptical of the jumpsuit trend, fear not! As I’ve said before, I’m curvy and a jumpsuit is very flattering when it tugs and falls in all the right places. I bought a size that isn’t too tight or too loose. This jumpsuit can take you from season to season and can be dressed down by itself or jazzed up with a leather Moto jacket.

The outfit:

  • Navy French jumpsuit | Cabi
  • Leather Moto jacket | Anthropologie
  • Statement necklace | Belk
  • Black pumps | Urban Outfitters

LOOK No. 2: At the office >>

Hello sophistication! My main mission with the colorful statement necklace is to take a simple work ensemble and add a fancy spin. A white blouse tucked into classic trousers is almost a go-to for many women in the workforce, so why not switch gears a little? Make sure you button your blouse all the way up so the necklace can be center stage. It creates an eye-catching look where modern meets androgyny.

The outfit:

  • White button down | Ann Taylor Loft
  • Gray trousers | Cabi
  • Statement necklace | Belk
  • Black patent pumps | Nine West

So have I convinced you to run to your nearest mall or boutique and start your beautiful statement necklace collection? I sure hope so! A small, but lovely collection of bold necklaces can transform your wardrobe and have you leaving the house with the tried-and-true motto: “less is more.”
