Cabi 2016 fall collection: My favorites
Source: Cabi

Ladies, I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am for fall. It’s the No. 1 season I look forward to all year. There is just something about the season that lifts my spirits. Maybe it’s the comeback days of Starbucks’ holiday drinks. Or the crisp, clean air. Or maybe just pulling out my comfy fall clothes! So when I saw a preview of the 2016 Cabi fall collection last week, fall couldn’t be here fast enough.

I’ve mentioned a couple times on my blog that my mom is a Cabi stylist in Florida, along with my aunt. They are the most fashionable duo! Last weekend, I rushed home to help my mom unpack the collection. I swooned over the beautiful, rich colors and the incredibly soft fabrics. I’ve always loved Cabi, but this is by far, its best collection yet.

What really stood out to me is the vibrant shades of red and blue. I also noticed the vibrant printed blouses, and the key staple pieces that tie the collection together. The theme of the collection is “elegantly different.” The inspiration for the line was from the rich history mixed with modern sophistication in Tokyo, Japan.

Even though I’m in love with the entire collection, here are six of my favorite pieces!

Cabi fall 2016 collection - My favorites

1. Beyond Tee:

Versatility is this tee’s middle name. With the loose, flowy fabric, it’s easily three shirts in one. You can tie it around the waist for a slimming effect, criss-cross the two front ends for a sleek silhouette or leave it as is for a relax look. For more on styling this tee, click here.

2. Tartan Jacket:

I’m obsessed with this vintage-inspired moto jacket! The boy-meets-girl trend is huge this fall. It would be adorable paired with dark wash skinnies and a long blouse. Or even some black trousers for a chic office look.

3. Lace-Up Sweater:

When I first tried on this sweater, I literally gasped. That’ll give you an idea of how beautiful it is in person. The lace-up back gusset is so feminine. And the sweater also has a chiffon lining underneath. It’s one of those sweaters you can lounge around in or wear for a night on the town.

4. Trek Jogger:

I love the relaxed yet chic pieces Cabi makes every season. There’s nothing better than wearing something that looks put together, but feels like pajamas. The Trek Jogger is no exception. This will be a staple in my closet for running errands and lounging around the apartment.

5. Ava Trouser (rhubarb):

I’ll admit, I cling to neutral pieces in my wardrobe because they go with everything. BUT, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone this fall because these were my first purchase of the season! They also come in black, but the rhubarb is a gorgeous color. It pairs great with a lot of my blouses and jackets. I’ll be wearing these probably every season.

6. Slim Boyfriend Jeans:

Boyfriend jeans are my best friend on days when I don’t feel like getting all dolled up. I love the fit of these jeans. And the great thing is you can go up or down a size depending on how you like them to fit. I prefer mine a bit slouchy and paired with a white tee and a moto jacket. It’s such a playful ensemble for fall!

Hello! Thank you for the great post! I just love the Lace up sweater. Is it true-to-size or run big/small? I normally wear a Medium to hide my “mommy tummy” but I don’t want the sweater to look baggy if it runs big. I plan on purchasing it at a discount but can’t return it, so I want to be sure of the size beforehand. Thank you so much!

Hey Marie! The lace-up sweater runs pretty true to size. It’s a flowy sweater that is very flattering and looks good on everyone! I highly recommend it. If this gives you any indication, I’m 5’5 and weigh 170 pounds and I wear a medium. 🙂

Thank you so much for your reply! Your insight does help me. I’m 5’7 and 140lbs, but have a tummy (those kids!!!). I think I’ll go for the medium. The sweater is so beautiful! And I will definitely subscribe to your blog. 😊
