A collection of print blouses is essential for a balanced, versatile wardrobe and I am in the process of rebuilding my blouse section! Although it will take some time, I’m excited to add interesting, unique prints every season. Some of you may be thinking—how are print blouses versatile? How do you pair them with anything other than jeans?
When buying a print blouse, keep these things in mind:
–Patterns or a plethora of colors that speaks to you. I have to confess that there are some prints I will never wear. Choose one that catches your eyes or one in your favorite color.
–Good length equals versatility. I live in longer blouses because they are flattering for my curvy figure. But that’s not all a long blouse can do. It can also change the way you wear that blouse, whether it be flowy with leggings or tucked in with a high-waist skirt.
–Rule of thumb: quality over quantity. I know this is a letdown for some of us on a tight budget, but buying good quality blouses that fit well and wash well will last you for years to come. The print blouse I’m wearing in these three different looks is the Moody Blues blouse from Cabi’s fall 2015 collection. Cabi’s blouses run around $79-99, but they are beautiful and so well-made! I see nice pieces like this as an investment for my wardrobe.
Here are three ways to style a print blouse this fall/winter season:
