We are one day away from September, and I’m just praying I wake up one day and the air is cool and crisp. But in Mississippi? Fat chance. But I’m embracing my fall favorites no matter the temperature, just like these bold-colored trousers from Cabi’s new fall collection.
Dubbed the Ava Trouser, these trousers nod to the 60s cigarette pant, but in a startling hue—rhubarb. Like rhubarb pie? Why, yes. Except, when I first tried them on, they felt like butter against my skin. Comfortable and chic!
My bedroom is my sanctuary. I spend a lot of my downtime there sleeping, reading, writing, watching Netflix and eating late-night snacks (trying to kick this habit.) So it’s only natural that I wanted this space to be comfortable and peaceful.
At first, I didn’t have a ton of extra money laying around to completely redecorate. A lot of the decor and accent pieces in my bedroom are a mix of old and new. I love finding pieces for next to nothing at an antique shop or landing a good deal at TJ Maxx.
After a long day of work, my yoga mat is my best friend. I come to the mat for various reasons, but a big one is to relieve stress and quiet my mind after a hectic day.
Since I have a backward schedule for work (I work 2-10 p.m. Monday through Friday), I usually do yoga in the morning. But if I’m feeling really tense after work, I’ll do a few poses to calm anxiety and stress. I’ve been practicing yoga regularly for over a year now, and it’s helped be more aware of my body and how it is feeling at all times. I’m mindful of which poses will help me release tension in areas that need it most.
Meal delivery service plans have popped up everywhere in the past year. Whether I’m on Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest, I’m likely to see a flawless video ad for Blue Apron, Home Chef, Hello Fresh, etc.
I’ve always wanted to try a meal delivery service. But I had a couple of things holding me back. For one, it was pricey. And two, I was worried the recipes wouldn’t be yummy. But when I saw a $40 off coupon for Blue Apron in my inbox a couple weeks ago, I couldn’t resist. I signed up for three meals, two servings each and picked the meat and seafood option. I was ready to see what the hype was all about.
Ladies, I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am for fall. It’s the No. 1 season I look forward to all year. There is just something about the season that lifts my spirits. Maybe it’s the comeback days of Starbucks’ holiday drinks. Or the crisp, clean air. Or maybe just pulling out my comfy fall clothes! So when I saw a preview of the 2016 Cabi fall collection last week, fall couldn’t be here fast enough.
