Welcome back, readers! I am done with my second week of money tracking and overall, I don’t think it was too bad. I did have a lot of urges to spend money where I shouldn’t….meaning Anthropologie had a summer tag sale. I was so close to buying a shirtdress I’ve been wanting, but I refrained. Oh, the willpower!

Do you ever step into your favorite store, only to be blindsided by all the beautiful clothes and trinkets? I’m so guilty of it. Readers, I am tracking my spending habits for one month, cash and all! A Refinery 29 series called “Money Diaries” sparked the idea for this post. My breakdown of living expenses and day-to-day spending is similar to their format, but I’m taking this as an insightful learning experience!

Friday is here, readers! After a long week, I’m excited to head to New Orleans for a concert with my boyfriend, Ashton. We’ll be seeing one of my favorite indie bands, Lord Huron, on Saturday and then spend some time in the city on Sunday.
