Summer is definitely upon us in the South, and I’m inviting it in with a loose-knit maxi dress and a wide-brimmed sunhat for full coverage.
Happy Friday, readers! This week was filled with my favorite things from summer essentials to a sentimental bouquet of flowers. I am finally getting back into the swing of things after the small move I had to make to another apartment. I am beginning to feel settled into a new place and have been making some small bedroom and bathroom updates.
Friday marked the one year anniversary of me entering the real world, and wow, has a lot changed in my life since last May! I remember myself right before college graduation, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and ready for the next chapter of my life. Except life slapped me right in the face when I least expected it. And now that I’m out of the dark tunnel, I see why bad situations can be life-changing if I truly embraced them.
During the week, sometimes the last thing you want to do is make a clean, home-cooked meal. Between working long hours and finding time to do the things you love, it seems like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to make chicken cacciatore.
The weekend is almost here! I hope you’re planning to do something special with the women you love in your life! My mom and I will be spending Mother’s Day packing up my apartment. I move into my new apartment in almost a week, and she’s coming earlier in the week to help out. Amid bubble wrap and cleaning out, I’m excited to have some girl time and catch up on life.
