2016 spring fashion trends I love

Bold stripes, micro pleats, boho festival fashion and bucket bags covered the runways for spring.

I’m not a huge fan of trying out every single trend each season. I prefer to pick and choose my favorites and add some fun pieces to enhance my wardrobe! I usually gravitate toward trends that are boho or feminine inspired pieces. And I love anything involving florals, lace or fun prints.

Here are the fashion trends that I’ll be wearing this spring:

Lace-up flat or wedge

I have seen these just about everywhere on Pinterest. In fact, it seems to be one of the only things users are pinning besides food! But I definitely see why. They add a bohemian touch to any outfit, whether you’re wearing skinny jeans or a maxi dress. I bought a pair of black lace-up wedges not too long ago and they pair with everything!

Favorites: Steve Madden suede lace-up flats, Indigo Rd gladiator sandal, Restricted Kale sandal

High-neck bikinis

From Pacsun to Free People, high-neck bikinis are everybody’s favorite this season. I love the idea of a high neck swimsuit top for poolside days. Although the swimsuit would produce some interesting tan lines, it’s still an adorable trend!

Favorites: Crochet Inset cropped bikini top, Macrame halter cropped bikini top, Crochet detailed halter

Chokers

I never thought I would be into this 90s grunge trend, but I’m actually glad chokers are making a comeback! I love the idea of wearing a thin choker made of leather or printed fabric and layering it with delicate necklaces for an edgy meets feminine look.

Favorites: Clear Your Plate Metallic choker, Mirella Drop choker, Baby Dagger drop choker

Slip dresses

This is definitely one of my favorite trends this spring. Slip dresses are so easy to wear and style and basically have a no-fuss policy. I’m a fan of the bright-colored ones as well as ones in interesting prints.

Favorites: Ivory slip dress, Voile & Lace trapeze slip, Deep in thought mini dress

Boho festival attire

Even though boho chic is my favorite off-duty style, I am loving the festival vibe that’s showing in this spring’s clothing. Whether it’s flowy, lacy or floral, I’ll be living in maxi dresses, kimonos and flirty tops.

Favorites: Cabi Spring 2016 Capri top, Raya Kimono, Rainfall Swing Maxi

What trends will you be mixing with your classic pieces this spring? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
