Salmon is one of my favorite dishes to cook during the week or on #SalmonSundays. It’s easy to cook, it’s nutritious and it’s packed with flavor. I’ve experimented with many different salmon recipes and this definitely my pick to share with you.
This garlic herb salmon is light and flaky and pairs wonderfully with a salad or quinoa and a vegetable. The flavors are out of this world and it’s thanks to a few, simple ingredients in your pantry and fridge.

Recipe: Garlic herb salmon
Prep & cook time: About 15 minutes
Servings: 2 or 3
- 12 oz salmon fillet, cut into two fillets
- 2 to 3 tablespoon melted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of cayenne pepper, optional
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 3 dashes ground black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for garnish
Preheat oven to 400°. Combine melted butter, minced garlic, fresh Italian parsley, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and lemon juice. Mix together thoroughly.
Spray a pan with non-stick spray and coat the salmon fillets with the mixture. Bake for 10-12 minutes. In my oven, my fillets were done at 10 minutes. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and whatever side you like!
Doesn’t this just look heavenly on a plate? Salmon is rich in protein, vitamin B-12, vitamin-D and omega-3 fatty acids, and I often substitute this fish for chicken or red meat.
