I have some exciting news, blog fam! This past month can be summed up in a single word: Whirlwind. After my family and I got back from our BVI vacation, it was zero to ninety in less than 24 hours. But I’m so excited to announce that I am moving to Baton Rouge to work for the southern clothing company, Southern Marsh! I received the job offer about a month ago, but I am just now getting around to writing a life update.
Exploring the island of Anegada was probably the most memorable part of the vacation for me. I was blown away by the picturesque views and miles of turquoise water. I have never seen water so blue and clear to the bottom. Our boat captain, Teddy, drove us around to see the best beaches on the island. Imagine riding in built-in seats in the back of a pick-up truck on rocky roads. Our transportation was adventurous to say the least!
Welcome to part two of my travel diary in the British Virgin Islands! It’s been about two weeks since we sailed the islands, and the memories of our time there are truly engrained in my mind. It’s hard to forget the turquoise water and the dreamy tropical landscape.
I can sum up this trip in two words: Absolutely breathtaking. Every day was an adventure, and we truly embraced the boating lifestyle for six full days. By the end of the week, I almost could imagine myself quitting my job, selling everything and starting a new life in the islands. The island vibes are that contagious. I can see why someone who lives in the states would give up their two cars, a big house and a corporate job in suburbia for this life.
In less than 48 hours, I’ll be sailing the British Virgin Islands for a whole week! Ya’ll, this is my dream vacation, and my fantasy is finally coming true. The work grind has been exceptionally hard to get through this week because all I’m thinking about is infinite sunshine, cerulean blue water and ice cold painkillers (the cocktail, ya’ll).
